During the month of May a PNG Agribusiness delegation hosted by Tradelinked Cairns-PNG-Pacific and EiiC visited Cairns and regions.  The purpose of the visit was to introduce delegates to potential opportunities and business contacts in Far North Queensland. The delegation included the Hon. Soroi Eoi MP, Member for Provincial Government and Local Level Government and Acting Minister for Trade & Commerce together with Government officials from the Dept of Provincial & Local Government Affairs and the Dept of Commerce & Industry.   Other industry sectors represented were Agribusiness, Tourism, Mining, Education and private investors, all of whom were keen to learn what the region had to offer including visiting a number of successful family agribusinesses.  The delegation were guests at a morning tea hosted by the Mayor of Cairns, Bob Manning and other members of the Cairns Regional Council as well as being guests at the Tradelinked Business Networking event for May.  They also visited the Mareeba Rotary Field Days to gain an insight into the many aspects of agricultural activity on the Atherton Tablelands.  See a snapshot of activities during the week they were here.  Many thanks to all involved who gave up their time to assist.
